Batu Caves A religious sanctuary for Malaysian Hindus – is one of KL’s most popular tourist attractions. Boasting caverns with 400-million-year-old limestone formations, these caves are best known as the focal point of the annual Hindu festival of Thaipusam when a colourful jumble of devotees make their way up the 272 steps to get to the apex.
